CBC News launches 24/7 streaming service

With inflation soaring and market volatility at record highs, Fox Business Network (FBN) is winning the battle for viewership ratings on business days and market hours. According to a network release, FBN closed the second quarter of 2022 as the number one network, overtaking CNBC according to Nielsen Media Research.

The network also delivered its highest-rated quarter in business days (9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m./ET) and total day (6:00 a.m.-6:00 a.m./ET) since 2020.

FBN was the go-to destination for the latest business news, beating CNBC with a 6% advantage in total viewers (FBN 219,000 P2+ vs. CNBC 206,000 P2+). Additionally, the network’s total viewership attracted 132,000 viewers, up 22% year-over-year.

For the second consecutive quarter, Kudlow (weekdays, 4:00 p.m./ET), hosted by Larry Kudlow, aired the highest-rated business news television program, amassing 306,000 total viewers.

The show notched its best-ever quarter in total viewership, notably scoring a 49% advantage over CNBC’s Closing Bell, marking its third straight quarterly win in the category.

Maria Bartiromo’s Mornings with Maria (weekdays, 6-9 a.m. ET) landed its highest-rated third quarter ever in total viewership (122,000 P2+) as well as its highest-rated quarter since Q1 2021 with the younger demo.
