Half-time marks
Asmir Begovic – 6
Made a superb save towards the end of the half to maintain his one point scoring level, but his kicks fell short in the first 45 minutes.
Jonjoe Kenny – 5
Playing as a winger, the academy graduate didn’t advance as much as he could have liked, but a particularly dangerous center found Niels Nkounkou late in the half, which could have been an assist decisive another day.
Mason Holgate – 6
Covered the right channel well on occasion as Huddersfield looked to move forward, although he hadn’t had much to do so far.
Michael Keane – 5
He is Everton’s seasoned back line boss and wasn’t forced to do much defensive work until he was headed for the equalizer.
Jarrad Branthwaite – 6
Was a little nervous with one of his first passes of the game, but has recovered well from that position and has looked fairly calm ever since.
Niels Nkounkou – 6
Has come a long way so far to make dangerous crosses into the box, while showing impressive defensive work with good interceptions.
Tom Davies – 7
Played a fantastic pass and at the right time to free Alex Iwobi to score the opening goal and looked calm and mature in the middle of the pitch throughout.
Jean-Philippe Gbamin – 5
Making his first start in 738 days, the midfielder would still need time to get back on track, and it has been a fairly low-key return to the roster so far.
Andros Townsend – 5
Didn’t see much of the ball in the first half, despite changing flanks with Iwobi in the first 45 minutes. Had a tame attempt at goal which was dragged off.
Alex Iwobi – 7
Another brilliant display of the winger here playing in another different role in this system, and he got his fair rewards for his recent performances with a nice goal.
Moses Kean – 6
Looked brilliant throughout, missing out on a few early chances. He had a goal ruled out for offside which, on the second viewing, looked very severe.
