Undoubtedly the most watched sports league in the region, some of the Premier League’s top clubs are favorites in the Caribbean and generally have very good broadcast ratings. In a region that speaks three languages, football is the unifying language and the Premier League the ultimate love.
“The Premier League is delighted to partner with VertiCast for the next three seasons,” said Premier League Media Director Paul Molnar. “We believe VertiCast is ideally suited to broadcast Premier League matches in the Caribbean and fans will benefit from VertiCast’s extensive distribution plan across multiple platforms. VertiCast will help us maximize reach and audience and further grow the base of Premier League fans in the region.
The new Premier League rights holder has committed to a broadcast plan that allows for maximum reach to ensure it remains the most watched and followed.
VertiCast Chairman and CEO Oliver McIntosh explains that “regional football fans will have unprecedented access to Premier League matches across a wide variety of channels”.
For years, Premier League football has only been available on premium services, which VertiCast intends to change.
McIntosh adds that fans will have live access to all games. “Having access to all matches as they unfold in real time is important to the fans and important to us. We have full confidence that we will satisfy the Caribbean’s growing appetite for football, as many of those who have not had access to it in the past will be able to watch their favorite Premier League teams”.
VertiCast will host regional Premier League events, working with the Premier League to enhance the viewing experience for football fans.
The 2022/2023 EPL season kicks off on August 6. Full details on broadcast channels and partners, lineup and availability will be available in the coming weeks.
