Borussia Dortmund return to the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, and another exciting game awaits them against Portuguese Primeira Liga champions Sporting CP. Black and Yellow suffered a 1-0 loss to Borussia Mönchengladbach this weekend. And they will aim to return to the path to victory on Tuesday.
The Sporting CP will not be child’s play, however. They have won eight of their first nine games of the season. Although their only loss of the season so far has been a 5-1 they suffered against AFC Ajax on Matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Borussia Dortmund will sweat the fitness of a number of key players ahead of the game. Erling Haaland did not train on Monday and will likely miss the game. Although Marco Reus is expected to be back in the squad after taking part in the last training session before the game.
