Tonight’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown on Fox will be intriguing as it will emanate from two locations. The main show will take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland while two games will take place at the Rolling Loud hip hop festival in Miami. Part of the festival stage did in fact collapse on Thursday, but Rolling Loud officials have indicated that it will be fixed and functioning by the start of tonight’s dual broadcast.

How to watch

Dated: Friday July 23
Time: 8 p.m. ET
Network: Fox
Direct: FOX.com/live or the Fox Now app

The Rolling Loud portion of the show will feature two matches, one being Women’s Smackdown Champion Bianca Belair defending his title once again against Carmella and the other being the winner of 2021 Men’s Money in the Bank Big focused towards Intercontinental Champion of the Apollo crews. It will be a good showcase for these superstars in front of a young and diverse audience in Miami and with the women’s championship game in particular, we may see a surprise return of Sasha Banks.

Meanwhile in Cleveland, Jean Cena promised to face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns ahead of time on Smackdown and the two will no doubt swap beards to begin building a main event title match at SummerSlam in Las Vegas. Adjacent to this quarrel is Seth Rollin, which after failing to win the Money in the Bank ranking match last Sunday, cost Edge his opportunity to win the Universal title. We’re bound to see these two collide and build themselves towards a SummerSlam match.

Ready to debut in this edition of Smackdown is Toni Storm, who is one of a handful of superstars who have been called into the main roster in recent weeks. Storm is a former NXT UK Champion who spent the last year on NXT’s main roster.
